„As it turns out, we end up getting a free replacement brewing boiler out of the deal. There's corrosion where the brew groups attach to the boiler and ESI is offering free replacements to the new boiler style for any machines less than five years old. As of March or April 2003 they went to a stainless steel brew group that's welded on rather than the old nickel plated brass style that is bolted on. Bad news is there doesn't appear to be any way at present to do a Schomer mod on the new boiler style (not that I've heard of anyway) but I don't' think I could talk the owners into the mod anyway.“

Brewed coffee begins to lose its optimal taste moments after brewing so only brew as much coffee as will be consumed immediately. If it will be a few minutes before it will be served, the temperature should be maintained at 180 - 185 degrees Fahrenheit. It should never be left on an electric burner for longer than 15 minutes because it will begin to develop a burned taste.“

After 20-30 minutes your coffee begins to lose its fresh brewed flavor and may no longer be considered acceptable. Beyond 30 minutes, the flavor can deteriorate to the point of being objectionable.“
