„I'm also interested in interior design possibilities for an "upscale" or "elegant" shop. Any suggestions or pointers to design firms that could handle espresso shops? I understand there are many in Italy but doubt these would be knowledgeable on California building codes. However, they or local California/US ones may have attractive interior designs to look at.“

„When we were in Italy for our boy's baptism, we drank espresso every morning made in a little stovetop espresso machine (do a search for a moka brewer). It was great. If you're trying to make a great impression, get one yourself first (they can be under $20 new) and practice a lot.“

„One of the best ways to make good strong coffee with little skill and little money. You can buy some of Italy's finest caffe' espresso in small amounts ground for this purpose (so you don't even need a grinder.) It is very light-weight and transports easily. Care is simple, don't use soap, just some water and a paper towel (I've read baking soda, but have never had to use it.)“

„A glass filled with hot frothed milk, into which a serving of espresso has been slowly dribbled. The coffee colors, or stains, the milk. In both Italy and the United States, this drink is presented with a relatively short head of froth. Note that in the cappuccino, the milk and froth are added to the coffee, in the caffe latte they are poured simultaneously into a large bowl or glass, mixing them, while in the latte macchiato, the espresso is poured into the milk and froth, creating a layered effect as viewed through the serving glass.“
