„If you are getting a strange smell, I would try two things. First, i would take hot water from a tea kettle and pour it into the carafe. Do you get the smell or not? If you do, massive cleaning is in order.“

„No adjustable time for shut off - 2 hours and the warming plate shuts off. I like to get water heating in my electric kettle and pour it into the coffee carafe for cocoa, cider & tea throughout the day. That is not an option with this machine, unless you use the extra hotplate and I don't have that much counterspace. And, sometimes it takes me longer than 2 hours to finish a pot of coffee.“

„Remove the safety lid by turning it counter-clockwise and remove from the appliance. Fill carafe with two to four cups of cold water, using the markings on the carafe for reference. Pour into the water reservoir. Place the cover on the carafe and return the carafe to the drip plate.“

„While we're talking about temperature, don't forget to pre-heat the pot. Pour hot water into the empty carafe to warm it, then dump it out before brewing begins.“

„The pour spout on the Royal's kettle sticks out further from the body than the Cafetino's spout does, which means you can put a cup down flat in front of it to pour - the Cafetino's spout is too close to the body of that brewer and you have to hold your cup to pour with the stainless steel model. The Royal also has a lid for the glass brewer, which is mainly a cosmetic thing, but also can serve a nice purpose (outlined below).“

„This 10-12 cup coffeemaker features a removable water reservoir that lifts out for filling at the sink and easy cleaning. This feature also eliminates the extra step of having to pour water from the carafe into the reservoir.“
