Quite confusing, especially since in "Allo allo" (the TV series) they use the word cafe the same way as we do (but they're supposed to be French of course, not English )So in the UK a cafe is not a pub, but rather some kind of snack bar or coffee house (I won't use the word cofee shop here, because that indeed has quite a diffrent meaning in the Netherlands ) ?And hi fari.
