„It is one of those coffee cultural icons from the French influence on New Orleans, and something everyone should try if they find themselves traveling through New Orleans. It isn't too popular outside of the state of Lousiana though, and although I have in the past seen coffee with chicory on store shelves I have yet to purchase or try it myself.“

„I have very successfully used canned (!) coffee from Cafe Du Monde or French Market, both available in cans in supermarkets, both are coffee and chicory. (Chicory is a caffeine-free herb whose roots are dried, ground, and roasted and is used to flavor coffee.) I also have had great luck with fresh grinding my own beans without chicory. I often use Peets House Blend beans that I grind between drip and French.“

„Perhaps legislation can be brought in to so that the package labels clearly state the facts as to the proportion of chicory used. In the old days, "French Coffee" (with chicory mixed) used to be in green colour, and pure coffee used red colour. Perhaps some colour coding guidelines could be brought in. I think the Coffee Board needs to do an extensive study on the long-term impact of the growth in chicory usage.“

„The one I am using now (Original) has chickory in it, which I like for a change. It reminds me of Cafe du Monde in New orleans. I just need a plate of beignets to be complete. They also offer French Roast, Decaf, Vanilla, Hazelnut, Mocha, and Toasted Almond.“
