„I just wanted to chime in and say that...having tasted many different espressos from the big guns in the industry that swear by drum roasters....ie: vivace, vita, etc. I definetly prefer an air roasted coffee ....“

„The mustiness was backgrounded in the Coffee Bean Trading Espresso Classico. In Espresso Vivace's Espresso Vita the musty sharpness was more prominent, and I found that I needed to pace the shot rather quickly to allow the mustiness its natural turn toward cocoa and spice.“

„Notes: Under the leadership of espresso innovator, pundit and writer David Schomer, Espresso Vivace has developed into on of the Northwest's (and the country's) best-known boutique espresso roasters, whose goal, according to the Vivace website, is "to research, develop, and promote caffe espresso as a culinary art." Espresso Vita is specifically designed to show well in milk-heavy drinks. Visit www.espressovivace.com or call 206-860-5869 for more information.“

„“If this was Vegas, the odds on favorite would have definitely been one of the competitors from any of the Seattle powerhouses.” Said Heilbrunn referring to, Espresso Vivace, Caffe Vita, Café D’Arte or Zoka Coffee Roasters and Tea Company. Of the 23 competitors, ten represented the previous Kings of Latte Art. Of those ten only four made it to the finals and none finished in the top three. “It was amazing, these relatively unknown companies traveled into the heart of Latte Art land and flew home with all the hardware,” said Heilbrunn Coffee Fest show manager and Latte Competition head judge.“

„Either they don't offer enough control of the roast, are too expensive, or just don't allow the roaster (uh, the person that is) to express themselves. The homemade or seriously modified commercial roasters on this page are alternately amusing and intimidating in appearance, but whatever the case, they probably work very well. And if they don't, you can bet they will be reconfigured endlessly until they do by their respective owners. A disclaimer on behalf of every roaster on this page: modifying electric and gas roasting equipment is dangerous.“
