„This the king of vacuum coffee brewers. We are one of a handful of coffee sources that offers Cona Vacuum Brewers. These are beautiful, elegant, and a bit scientific-looking; aficionadosof these believe it's the ultimate brewing method.“

„If you can find the history of Bodum, which I think is on their website they mention a cafe/restaurant that used santos brewers only and had banks of them on the go at any one time. Cona do vacuum brewers with a 2 pint capacity, but they're not cheap, Cona being a company in the UK I think that means the the pints are larger than US pints 19.2 US fluid oz per pint if I remember rightly. I personally use a Bodum Santos (hob version not the electric) and I love it there's no other way to say it, the flavour is unbelieveable. I suppose that the reason they're not common in commercial establishments is that they are made from glass and get top heavy when brewing, or clumsy waiters, dont know which would do the most damage but at nearly $200 for a 2 pint cona do you want to find out?“

„Step 7: The water in the jug will now rise into the funnel and mix with the ground coffee. Around 2 cm of water will remain in the glass jug at the bottom. (If no water remains in the jug, it must be removed from the heat immediately and then replace since there is a risk that it will crack from the heat).“

„BODUM says that the Electric Santos is easy to use: (1) simply fill the lower carafe with the desired amount of cold water and place it on the power base, (2) fit the upper carafe securely into the lower carafe and place measured ground coffee in the upper carafe, (3) put on the lid, (4) push the “on” button. The water will heat the lower carafe and rise through a funnel into the upper carafe to mix with the ground coffee. This brews the coffee and creates a vacuum in the lower carafe, so when the lower carafe is empty, the hot-brewed coffee trickles back down into the lower carafe, ready to serve.“
