The remaining Conillon was used in the manufacture of soluble coffee, for domestic or overseas use, or formed part of domestic consumption. Domestic consumption, which was less that 7 million bags in the late 1970s, has expanded rapidly and is estimated at 12 million bags for 1998/99.“
