„I suppose it makes more sense to say that this aromatic woodiness is in the cup flavors of the dark roast too, along with black walnut, mild-dark chocolate, and a hint of fruit. In the light roast the cup has an Earl Grey hint with a twist of lemon rind, orange blossom floral, zesty, and spicy. The body is fairly light, but the cup is complex in that this coffee shows you different sensations as the aroma passes to flavors passes to aftertaste - in other words, it unveils itself in a very interesting way, and with each different roast treatment, it shows a slightly different variation on its overall theme.“

„The coffee lacked all hint of bitterness from a medium roast (very early second crack) and had a finish that was sweet and rich with a hint of the way chocolate finishes. It is comparable in smoothness and rich taste to the vacuum pot coffee but didn't quite have the same'thick' feeling on the palate- could have just been my palate this evening. I drank mine black with no sugar and it was delicious right to the next-to-last drop. There are some fine grounds that end up in the glass with this method so leave the last sip for the cup to enjoy.“

„The bittersweet paradox is less intense here than in the Jeremiah's Pick French Roast, with a bit more emphasis on the sweet side of the equation and a hint of dry, pruny fruit. The smoothest body of the eight French roasts I cupped, suggesting that the roast drove fewer fats out of the bean.“

„These are reliable recipes for great cookies. We are especially fond of the mocha walnut (pecan) chocolate chip cookies, pecan pie squares, toffee tops and hazelnut macaroons. I don't make them any particular size so can't vouch for the instructions on "maximonsters," but I have consistently tasty results.“
