„The only way one could make a better cup of coffee, with the "drip" or manual pour-over method, would be to forego ANY machine, and entirely DIY, thus:  bring water to boil and stabilize temperature at optimum; put a "showerhead" or "watering can" sprinkler on your kettle spout; stand there and manually pour hot water in measured bursts over a SwissGold filter inside a ceramic cone affixed to the top of a vacuum insulated thermos jug or carafe.  To do this well, you would have to know what you were doing...“

I put in some home roasted Yirgacheffe ,28 grams, ground on the fine side, added 20 ounces of water to the machine's water reservoir, and hit the brew switch. The results were very similar to some vacuum pots that I have used.“
