„It's a relatively new machien with manufatcure date of April 2001 but old enough that it does not have the welded on brew groups. If I understand correctly this means it can be "Schomer modified". Can someone here explain how this is done or point me to an information resource? I'm reasonably mechanical and fully capable of doing all the basic repairs on an LM including a full boiler swap-out but if it requires more expertise than I possess I'm willing to pay someone to do the mod's.“

„It does let you down in terms of being a "cappuccino machine", because of a long draw time between brewing and steaming (I do not recommend steaming first, then cycling the machine down to brew a shot - it takes almost as long, and can use half a reservoir of water in the process).
