„Coffee is brewed directly into a double-insulated thermal carafe which can be removed after the brewing process, keeping the coffee warm for several hours. A digital clock, 24-hour programming and drip-stop feature are all part of the package, as are water filtration cartridges which remove a substantial amount of chlorine and greatly enhance flavor. The purchase of an extra thermal carafe affords the opportunity to brew both caf and decaf pots in succession, thereby accomodating all tastes. The Capresso Elegance Therm is available in black, white or brushed silver metallic finish with black accents; suggested retail price is $124.99 for the black or white models and $139.99 for the silver metallic finish.“

„Coffee brewed in the Chemex should be immediately transferred into a thermal carafe as the the glass Chemex body provides little to no heat retention. Being a vessel made entirely of glass, the Chemex requires to be handled more carefully to avoid breakage.“

„BODUM says that the Electric Santos is easy to use: (1) simply fill the lower carafe with the desired amount of cold water and place it on the power base, (2) fit the upper carafe securely into the lower carafe and place measured ground coffee in the upper carafe, (3) put on the lid, (4) push the “on” button. The water will heat the lower carafe and rise through a funnel into the upper carafe to mix with the ground coffee. This brews the coffee and creates a vacuum in the lower carafe, so when the lower carafe is empty, the hot-brewed coffee trickles back down into the lower carafe, ready to serve.“
