SCAE European Team Challenge - Dublin 2006 report
[http://jimseven.com] it was time for the Team Entertainment presentation. You had to fill 5 minutes and be entertaining and it was worth as many points as any other event. We went last (which was great cos everyone was really, really drunk by then) and performed the “World’s Crappest Irish Joke”. The credit for this one goes to Simon (for the joke and the onstage narration) and to Lou for her awesome set and prop design (oh yes people - no expense spared). Somehow we got second place, with the Russian’s comical performance of Swan Lake taking first. My favourite was the Estonians surreal interpretation of “My hat it has three corners”. Very, very funny! Like many of the nights it ended pretty late, but was incredibly good fun and hanging out with all the baristas was great.

[Carolynmark.blogspot.com] chumpville: Italy Andiamo!: Keith and Andrea thought of everything. They booked it and did the driving and got us paid and everyone knew we were coming and nothing bad happened and Serena was such a gracious hostess and the band (The Northern Vaginas-Diona, David, Keith and The Python) was perfect and turned on a dime and there was Sexy Jenn to shop with.
[Fresnobeehive.com] John Muir Trail blog: This reputation has given me apprehension about hiking the JMT because I have enjoyed and grown accustomed to some of the isolated trails of Kings and Sequoia National Parks. However, during my journey along the JMT, I discovered that, while heavily used, the JMT is not overly used, and hikers are afforded opportunities to find at least moments of isolation.
[Jackandjill.ca] Jack and Jill Dine Out in Vancouver - Yaletown, Kitsilano, West ...: The night started off promising, as Jill and I shared the Sweet Potato Hash (listed on the website at $4 but $7 on the menu though they claim to be above advertising, Curious looks to be all over the bait-and-switch), which was copiously studded with roasted garlic and was surprisingly and elevatingly delicious. Yummy had the Firecracker Broccoli in a hoisin and chili glaze (also listed at $4 on the website but $7 on the menu), which had a good quantity of florets and a sweet hoisin-tinged sauce but would have been better if the dish matched the menu description of a hoisin and chili glaze.
[Builtforwalking.blogspot.com] Built for Walking: Today it's rainy and cold, so I'm just sitting in a coffee shop, checking my email and blogging. I sort of wanted to go hiking somewhere but the weather and very little sleep are keeping me firmly planted on my ass.
