Rethinking Canned Beans - Bitten Blog - NYTimes.com

[Bitten] I use dried beans to make pots of beans or veggie chili, and of course dried chickpeas for making falafel.(I’ve got a pot of chili beans in the crock pot at home right now, to be ready in time for dinner.) And I use canned as a way to have a fast meal, and especially as toppings on a hearty summer salad. One thing that helps is to buy the organic canned beans, which don’t have the outrageous amount of sodium that most canned beans do.
