„Homeroaster.com is a great sitecreated by Ed Needham, with detailed articles on the construction of a rotisserrie drum roaster, and some neat articles about Maui Moka, Kopi Luwak, Etc. You can roast with an air popcorn popper, but for legal reasons I can't talk about it too much. Believe me, my (well, our) primary interest is having people enjoy this great hobby, and we really don't care about selling tons of fancy roasting appliances.“

„What it lacks, like all home machines under $1300 or so, is separate steam boiler tank. You basically need to spend another $900 to take the next step up from the Silvia in home espresso machines, to light-commercial machines like the Pasquini Livia, Isomac, Wega, Exobar, La Marzocco, etc. So I hate to say it, but $500 for the Miss Silvia is a good deal! You can start doing decent home espresso with the Gaggia Espresso at $259, but it doesn't have this great stainless steel housing, and the level of finish of the Silvia.“

„They produce "strong coffee". These are stovetop devices that are often sold as "stovetop espresso makers". They can be in hexagon shape or like a two stage kettle. Moka pots have legions of fans and are found in most Italian homes, but do not produce authentic, modern day espresso.“

„They are hard to get a hold of. It looks like the Futurmat Palanca, Astoria Divina, Rancilio z9 z11, nuevo simonelli mac can run off propane. They are piston lever as well. Any info on one of these machines used would be great!“

„They are readily had both at specialty retailers and on the Internet. Simply look in the INeedCoffee directory for Coffee Makersor Espresso Machines. Look for names such as Bialetti and Mr. Moka.“
