 Method 1 Source Authentication -
In order to allow new senders into your inbox we created a process called "Source Authentication".
We send an email written in your own words to whomever is emailing you that is not in your whitelist.
The email at some point asks the person to confirm that they sent you an email message by simply replying to the email. That's it, no forms or quizes or databases. The sender is whitelisted and you get their mail.
Method 2 Outbound SMTP -
We capture each email address as you send mail.
Method 3 Email Account Interface -
Each address has its own interface where users can control their whitelist and manage special features.
