„Well, here's a CoffeeGeek: I've had a LaPavoni Europiccolo for five years and I slowly but surely tuned into that machine.  On a good day -- when I'm in the mood, when the machine warms properly, when the grind, beans and water are good -- the LaPavoni makes a very good expresso.  But that is it: one espresso.  So I couldn't really share with the LaPavoni; I got to enjoy a fine espresso (forget capuccino) whenever I could be bothered to boot the machine up.“

„As for the original question, the answer has to be the VERY BEST GRINDER YOU CAN AFFORD.  I would use my Mazzer grinder with the LaPavoni.  You surely need a grinder that is capable of very fine and very even grind, especially if you want to make ristretto.  The grinder Lorenzo suggests will do the job, but for the same $300 there are other options for grinders out there.“

„I'm not trying to antagonize (just inform).  Maybe the customer feedback was about the next-level down LaPavoni grinder, the one that's the same as the Gaggia MM (both of those are truly worthless for espresso).Jon, I understand you are just trying to inform. The grinder we are speaking about is the PGC. We stopped carrying the lower end one a very long time ago.“
