CoffeeGeek - Solis Maestro Grinder - T. Guilbert's Review
(#)
„We have been grinding whole beans for each pot of coffee since well before it became fashionable to do so (1970s); for more than half of that period we were satisfied with Krups blade-type grinders. About five years ago, we upgraded to the Braun KMM30, a generally well-designed product that is perhaps overly maligned by coffee grinder snobs. The scoop that comes with the Braun is what makes it well-designed, and we suspect that those who criticize it failed to learn how to use the "other" end of the scoop. But that is another review.“http://www.coffeegeek.com/reviews/grinders/solis_maestro_grinder/ guilbert - Cached
CoffeeGeek - Krups Il Barista Grinder - Mark Atanovich's Review

„ I finally dialed into a setting of -7. This grinder is slow compared to the Bruan, taking over 1 minute for a double at this setting, but I'd gladly trade that for elimination of static, which was a big problem with the KMM30. Because the grind is so slow, there is a tendency for grounds to stick in the chute, but the spoon that came with the Braun was perfect for removing them. The doser was annoying; if you use a non-adjustable one like most home machines, you find yourself removing or adding coffee to the hopper.“http://www.coffeegeek.com/reviews/grinders/.../ matanovich - Cached
CoffeeGeek - Braun KM 30 - Daniel Marsalone's Review

„When I first got my Gaggia Classic, before my Gaggia MDF grinder arrived, I tried using the KMM30 to grind for it. Not to toot my horn but I'm a six foot, 200 pound guy who works out like a steroid freak and with all of my java fed muscles and body mass there was no way that I could muster up enough muscle to tamp the coffee in the Gaggia basket hard enough to deliver anything but 10 second pulls. I tried tamping in several lifts, tapping the sides of the filter before tamping.Everything.“http://www.coffeegeek.com/reviews/grinders/braun_kmm30/ dmarsalone - Cached

„We grind our beans (just before use) in a newly purchased Solis Maestro Plus, which is a HUGE improvement over the Braun KMM30 grinder we had been using. While the Braun created so much static electricity there were coffee grounds all over the counter after use, the Solis produces almost ZERO static charge. Also the Solis seems to produce a more even grind than the Braun did.“http://www.coffeegeek.com/forums/articles/quickshots/ 101192 - Cached
CoffeeGeek - La Pavoni PA Grinder - Daniel Marsalone's Review

„The unit looks very nice which is why I chose it over the Braun KMM30 for her. The unit is also inexpensive and has been working fine for about a year. The time is even more convenient than the Braun as the grind switch and timer setting are separate meaning once the timer is set all you have to do is press the button and your good to go.“http://www.coffeegeek.com/reviews/grinders/lapavonipa/ dmarsalone - Cached
