January Q&A - coffeecrew.com - victoria, b.c. canada (#)
„Dearest MIRIAN. Use your Braun for the coffee, the coffee beans will not harm the transparent dome. It is transparent so that you can visually judge the stat of your grinding. It is the better machine.Nuts, seeds, bolts will "sandblast" the inside and you will lose the vision of gently swirling grinds.“

„Fresh coffee is essential to an excellent cup of coffee. Grinding coffee beans yourself has the advantage in that you grind only the required amount of coffee beans. For optimal, fresh aroma you can put together your preferred blend of favorite coffee beans.“

„All she does is make coffee in the morning. I looked at the Braun she has and it just looks like a small blender, I just figured if it would grind coffee beans the vitamix would really grind coffee beans. She does not have a espresso machine, don't think she has ever drank a espresso. Won't this work, I just figured since the braun was a little blender the Vitamix would really grind with no problems.“

„If you want to get the most flavorful cup of coffee (decaf or regular) the magazine's Erin Gudeux recommends buying whole beans and grinding them yourself. "Overall we found that the whole bean coffee does tend to have a better flavor," she says.“

„So, the next best way to store coffee is to store in roasted but whole bean form. Grinding your own beans is pretty simple, and will be worth the effort. Roasted whole bean will last 1 to 2 weeks, when stored at room temperature. You should keep it in an airtight container that blocks the light.“
