Indian coffee board- Coffee : From Mocha to Mysore : A Coffee Journey (#)
„Alongside, another phenomenon in the shape of the Udupi cafe took root. First in Bombay, and then progressively throughout the country, the magical kaapi, along with idli, vada, dosa and sambhar, found yet another band of devotees - as can be seen to this day at Mysore Cafe, Matunga. The first India Coffee House opened on Churchgate Street in Bombay on 28th September 1936. Much like the coffee houses of Europe, the India Coffee House quickly became a rendezvous for the intellectual and the dilettante alike.“

„I have now used this brewer, and while it does produce a good cup of coffee, it still doesn't hit that magical number of 192F or higher in the brewing basket. It's around 185F. The larger 10 or 12 cup model ($60 and $80) features a double heating system - one for the water, one for the hotplate, and does brew at better temps.“

„Growers take the best beans from each crop, feed them to a weasel and then collect them again at the other end. The weasel's digestive system seems to do something magical to the beans which, she claims, makes them smoother and tastier than other kinds of coffee. (We'll hold off judgement.)“

„The Boruca, Térraba, and Bribrí languages of that region have created these magical words for the exceptional coffee. The wet Pacific region to the south marks the border of the Brunca region, which produces an early-ripening coffee bean of medium hardness.“

„It looked like water, mercury, and oil flowing in some magical mixture- it looked alive! During the pull the entire shot glass was filled with a light brown mixture, but just after the pull ended it separated into espresso and crema- a delightful crema layer that lasted quite a while. There, in my own home, I had achieved crema!“
