  „Excitement ran high on the morning of February 4 when after an early start the guests reached Chikmagalur to attend the Cupping Workshop arranged at the Classic Coffee Curing Works. It was yet another opportunity to observe the downstream processing of the coffee bean - for many on the SCAE team it was in fact their first visit to a coffee mill. Then followed an intensive two hours of cupping organized and moderated by Sunalini N Menon and her team from Coffee lab. The visitors tasted.“

  „An important event being dovetailed with our participation is the final round of "Flavour of India - The Fine Cup Award" competition 2003, where an international jury of 12 cupping experts will select the best coffees from India at Boston, at an event immediately preceding the SCAA conference. From the competition entries received earlier this year, the selections for this round have been finalized by a national jury in Bangalore. These award-winning coffees will be given the much needed promotion and publicity and will be available for extensive sampling at our pavilion along with other top specialty/regional coffees.“
