„FAIR TRADE COFFEE FOR UC SANTA CRUZ As a member of the UC Santa Cruz community and/or patron at Peabodys coffee carts and campus cafes, I would like the opportunity to drink Fair Trade Certified coffee at these establishments and all dining commons on the UC Santa Cruz campus. I understand that most coffee farmers receive a market price for their coffee that is less than their costs of production, forcing them into a cycle of poverty and debt. Fair Trade works to correct these imbalances through direct trade and by guaranteeing a minimum price for the small-scale coffee farmers' harvest.“

„They are a franchise operation, so it is anybodies guess what kind of experience you will have in their colorful cafes. I have to admit, though, that their beans are great and I am buying them almost weekly. Locations include Mill Bay, Fort & Foul Bay Ave, Fort and Cook, Yates and Broad, Douglas & Finlayson and a soon to be opened Oak Bay Ave. locale.“

„Don't cover the counter with a selection of 10 different bakery items only to keep running out of 3 selections because you don't have room to keep them in stock. A common mistake many cart seekers make is trying to do too much from their espresso cart. Overreaching your cart’s purpose results in crowding of its precious counter space with accessories and products that make for an inefficient workspace and overtaxed power supply. Cart operators will make business easier for themselves and better serve their customers by accepting the fact that a 6-foot espresso cart is not a reasonable substitute for a full service café.“
