„You'll be happy to know CWRU hosted the Fair Trade Fiesta this past weekend, which features Fair Trade tea, hot cocoa, coffee, chocolate and Fair Trade handcrafts from 10,000 villages. It was a huge success and around 50 people came, many of whom were completely new faces. We also showed "Santiago's Story", Global Exchange's "Trade Secrets" and Michael Moores "The Big One".“

Sales of Fairtrade foods have more than doubled over the past three years and Fairtrade brands now account for 14% of the total UK roast and ground coffee market. In 2002 the retail value of Fairtrade food sales in the UK reached £63 million.“
