You can roast with an air popcorn popper, but for legal reasons I can't talk about it too much. Believe me, my (well, our) primary interest is having people enjoy this great hobby, and we really don't care about selling tons of fancy roasting appliances.“

„He lightly roasts about 21 grams, enough beans for three cups, in a Jabez Burns two barrel sample roaster, a rare and beautiful machine dating from the '30s. Vournas gives the beans a light roast -- just after the second popping -- to accentuate the specific flavors of this rare coffee; a darker roast would obliterate the subtler flavors and replace them with a more generic taste. Vournas points out that this coffee, like most Indonesian-grown, has lots of moisture and roasts nicely.“

„Don't buy anything in a can, though, you'll have to get a good grinder and do your own--or find a roaster who has a good grinder in-shop. OR just go to a nice "normal" moka pot like a VEV or Berna stainless. These make fine coffee and are not as "fussy" as the Brikkas.“
