From Cappuccino to Frappuccino (#)
„This transates to a shot of espresso "with just a spot" of milk when Julie is in charge. "There should be a little'crema' on top," she continues, "not really milk."“

„1946: In Italy, Achilles Gaggia perfected his commercial piston espresso machine and installed it in Gaggia's Coffee Bar. The resulting coffee had a layer of foam or “crema”. The Cappuccino is named for the resemblance of its colour to the robes of the monks of the Capuchin order.“

„No, you cannot get restaurant grade Espresso, Latte and Cappuccino from a department store bought toy. Cheap espresso-cappuccino machines, at best, produce coffee with a kick, much like the stove-top espresso maker does. We will discuss this at length in the Stovetop espresso chapter!“

„Almost too convenient. Just unwrap, plop in a pod-enabled espresso machine, brew, and chuck, you're done. And if you do a double for a big cappuccino, they aren't all that bad.“

„I purchased this machine two years ago, after extensive research on espresso machines (which you are probably doing now, if you're reading this). I decided specifically on the vienna "superautomatica" and felt justified in when it ran strong for the first year. We're talking 2 cups a day for both my husband and myself, I drink mine with two shots and he drinks his with three, so 10 shots/day - IF we didn't have company! The machine makes great espresso, a nice crema, easy to clean, yada yada yada.“

„There are a few more choices on the menu: in particular the caffe latte and the caffe Mocha, or chocolate-espresso combination. Otherwise the list is similar: espresso, ristretto or short espresso, cappuccino, etc. The drinks are usually larger, and the servings of straight espresso most definitely larger. But what sets the two cuisines apart more than anything else is the style of the coffee.“
