„Since its launch at the House of Commons, Fairtrade Tiki Caffé has been added to the menu in some of Britain's leading universities, from Glasgow to Brighton, and forms a growing percentage of roaster Matthew Algie's sales. In Reading, the International Solidarity Centre attracted good publicity when it invited local people to name its new organic Fairtrade café. Over twenty councils, from Charnwood to Liverpool, are currently developing Fairtrade policies, for whom Oxfam has produced an invaluable Fairtrade Guide for Local Authorities, to be launched in Fairtrade Fortnight.“

„For a time, Provend sold Percol's Fairtrade coffees at a much cheaper price than all of the major brands they offered, including Kenco and Douwe Egberts. Tiki Caffé from Matthew Algie is similar in price to their decaffeinated coffee, costs around a fifth of a penny more per cup than their popular premium coffee, but is cheaper than their speciality and gourmet coffees. Bewley's Direct works out at 0.7p more per cup than their regular coffees.“

„Fairtrade Labelling Organisations International, the world-wide umbrella organization of Fair Trade, held its second annual forum in London on September 9th-12th, 2003. Three hundred people from over sixty countries met to exchange information, review policy issues, and in particular, discuss the strategic directions for Fair Trade. The Forum brought together representatives of Fair Trade producer and commercial organizations, licensees, national Fair Trade labeling organizations such as TransFair USA, and other organizations involved in Fair Trade.“

„Long awaited by many Fairtrade supporters, it is one in a selection of new organic and specialist coffees from Cafédirect which doubles their product range. Fresh 'Mountain Special' ground coffees include Kilimanjaro, grown at an altitude of 1,800 feet on the slopes of the Tanzanian mountain by one of Africa's oldest co-operatives, and Machu Picchu, cultivated organically by small farmers in the Peruvian Andes. A new organic ground coffee is available as well, also bearing the Soil Association's seal of approval. The products were launched as a result of the company's confidence in the gathering momentum of the Fairtrade market, and are available in most major supermarkets.“
