„A selection of delicious new products bearing the Fairtrade Mark is arriving on the shelves this autumn. Traidcraft is launching a range of organic chocolate, including Milk, Plain, Cappuccino and Praline flavours. Their new cereal snack bar, Geobar, which contains Fairtrade honey (25% of ingredients by value), will appear on Waitrose shelves with the Fairtrade Mark from November. In addition, Divine milk chocolate will be featured in a special Body Shop millennium countdown calendar, as well as a more traditional Christian Aid advent calendar for the festive season.“

„The Fairtrade Foundation certifies and promotes Fairtrade. It was set up in the early 1990s by agencies including Cafod, Christian Aid, Oxfam, Traidcraft Exchange and the World Development Movement to respond to the human consequences of collapsing world commodity prices. The first FAIRTRADE Mark product, Green and Black’s Maya Gold Chocolate, appeared on supermarket shelves in 1994; Cafédirect Coffee and Clipper Tea followed soon after.“
