„The organization is launching a new directory of over 100 companies that supply Fairtrade certified products to the food service industry, available at www.fairtrade.org.uk/suppliers_caterers.htm . Eating places are also being encouraged to display the fact that they are serving Fairtrade through new promotional point-of-sale materials - posters, table talkers, coffee mats and window stickers – produced by the Fairtrade Foundation and available through distributors and wholesalers.“

„Fairtrade Labelling Organisations International, the world-wide umbrella organization of Fair Trade, held its second annual forum in London on September 9th-12th, 2003. Three hundred people from over sixty countries met to exchange information, review policy issues, and in particular, discuss the strategic directions for Fair Trade. The Forum brought together representatives of Fair Trade producer and commercial organizations, licensees, national Fair Trade labeling organizations such as TransFair USA, and other organizations involved in Fair Trade.“

„The Salvation Army, the UK’s largest care provider after the government, is starting a switch to Fairtrade foods – a move to be rolled out in its 800 centres and supported by TV chef Brian Turner of the BBC TV’s Ready Steady Cook. The Youth Hostel Association (YHA) is also celebrating Fairtrade Fortnight by beginning the switch to Fairtrade tea and coffee in more than 200 Youth Hostels across England and Wales, as is the British Medical Association.“
