„The F!F! machines and the Krups both take ground coffee and ESE Pods, which would seem my optimal solution, as I generally prefer to grind my own beans, but would like something quick and simple in the morning, but I haven't been able to test out either type of machine. My current Cafe Firenze really doesn't seem to cut it - it varies between good strong coffee and bitter muck depending on my technique, but doesn't give me that cup which "tastes like fresh coffee smells" - the best description of espresso I've read (can't remember where).“

„ My son has taken great interest in the Livia and started pulling shots and steaming milk and actually did a great job.  For simplicity, we left the POD setup on and used the ESE pods that came with the order from Illy.  The shots of espresso looked and tasted pretty good.  My daughters and several guests commented that the cappas were fine - they really liked the taste.“

„In my opinion coffee pod espressos are flat and lack the flavour from freshly ground beans. These days it seems most of the big R&G boys, especially those out of Italy, sell pods. Illy, Lavazza and segfredo all have pods. In Italy the roasters have quite a bit of sway with the machine manufacturers.“
