CoffeeKid - The Dream Machine

CoffeeKid - The Dream Machine ()

„Note the similarities with the semi auto machine. I won't lie to you - it's a shame that $1000 machines are all plastic - hell, it's a crying shame that $2000 super autos are mostly plastic. A dual boiler stack does present some techological issues but they have already been overcome. I also believe that this machine is doable and profitable, if not today then in the near future.“

„That they do not know everything. I certainly don't know everything about coffee and espresso, and never will. It's a shame that too many folks behind the counter, from the minimum wager on up to the café owners and beyond, think they do. Their arrogance not only fosters, but spreads ignorance of what quality espresso should be.“

„Having stellar after sales service for products that most vendors can't (or won't) touch. Actively promoting Fair Trade coffee - they may not sell a heckuva lot of it compared to all the coffee they sell, but the fact that they promote it like crazy is awesome - it educates the public about the Coffee Crisis.“

CoffeeKid - Press Pots and Drip Brewers CoffeeKid - Press Pots and Drip Brewers

„First, if the machine has a single heating element for both the hot plate and brewing water, chances are it won't heat the water hot enough. I'm not saying all of them do this - I own a Saeco Latte coffee brewer, one made the first year this product came to market, and it has a single heating element for water and hotplate, and is quite capable of a 194F brew. Saeco changed the machines for some time (or had quality control issues) and machines were rolling out of their assembly plant with anemic 175F or lower brewing temperatures. Recently, a vendor I trust says that the new crop does indeed brew hot again.“
