CoffeeKid - Random Artistic Photos, Vol 1 (#)
„I get exposed to a lot of latte art in my life, but it is always a challenge to photograph it well, and photograph it quick - latte art quickly fades and blurs, degrades and gets dull. But sometimes, I can capture the good stuff and make it look good.“

„I've been experimenting with latte art and etching as of late. Where I'm going these days is doing latte art on things that don't use a lot of milk, and those that do use a lot: americanos and hot chocolate.“

„Challenge!! Thimble Sized Latte Art! . Basically it came about when Jeanette and I were having a friendly chat and we were talking about how I'm focusing on doing espresso cup latte art these days, and that my skills in doing big bowl latte art have been lacking. She joked "I wonder if anyone's ever done latte art in a thimble?" I wondered if I could do it.“

„Why pour quickly? Well if you did it right, why not move to the next stage - go for some latte art technique! You can only do latte art with microfoam, perfectly steamed milk, and you can only do latte art if you pour it right away.“

„First, if the machine has a single heating element for both the hot plate and brewing water, chances are it won't heat the water hot enough. I'm not saying all of them do this - I own a Saeco Latte coffee brewer, one made the first year this product came to market, and it has a single heating element for water and hotplate, and is quite capable of a 194F brew. Saeco changed the machines for some time (or had quality control issues) and machines were rolling out of their assembly plant with anemic 175F or lower brewing temperatures. Recently, a vendor I trust says that the new crop does indeed brew hot again.“
