CoffeeKid - Highs and Lows of 2003 (#)
„Raising money for CoffeeKids I really liked doing this, and made it my personal mission to try and raise awareness of the organization. I feel we haven't done enough (we meaning the CoffeeGeek community) but that's only because I wanted to raise a million dollars if I could.“

„I found them because they just started advertising on CoffeeGeek (no, I'm not mentioning them here because of that - but it is true that I have not heard of this company before they signed up as an advertising partner). I think this is going to be my new source for Fair Trade green coffee - their single pound prices okay (not great), but the five pound prices are pretty good - average of about $7 a pound or less, in Canadian dollars. Compared to US sources of green Fair Trade coffee, it's downright cheap once you factor in shipping costs.“

„As the doctor suggested I made soya a regular part of my diet. I now drink 'soy ff e e' a caffeine free substitute for regular coffe that I found on the net at www.S o y co f f e e.c o m, which is extremely tasty too. Soya is supposed to be highly effective against Parkinson's disease. Dr.“

„There's a cooler thing. Because of Reg's generosity in the amount of tampers he sent me, if you're a registered member of CoffeeGeek , at some point in the near future, you'll get a chance to win one of these tampers - I'll be giving away a bunch of them in our next contest event. Stay tuned...“

„You probably do not remember my post to you several months ago, but I was not all all positive about this "CoffeeKid" garbage talk about the poor state of affairs in the coffee producing regions. Without getting into the details of my previous post and feelings about this issue I brought up the point, at that time, that messing around with the economics of any produced good entices the emergence of "dictator or tyrant" type individuals bent on the sole venture to control prices in the marketplace. This ruler type mentality is clearly evident with the problems with OPEC and crude oil.“
