CoffeeKid - Getting a Livia90... (#)
„Zabars brought it in for $995, making it more realistic, and its Faema E61 grouphead (actively heated with boiler water) is a total perk, but I've heard dissapointing stories about its steaming ability, and its overall construction.“

„Faema changed all this in 1961 when they introduced their E61 Espresso machine. Rotary pump driven. Heat exchange water delivery.“

„Why? Because at $50 (or less - I've paid $35 for two of the four boxes), the fact that these are the first ever "mug" cups and are of course signed and numbered. I don't know how many illy are making, but there's only four digit "spots" on the bottom of the cups, suggesting a maximum of 9999 cups.“

„They asked if they could use some CoffeeGeek and CoffeeKid photographs (photos I took, and put on the websites). Now normally I charge for this kinda stuff, but I made a judgment call - you never hear about quality coffee in Israel, and who knows, maybe I could leverage the free photos in return for an article or something about specialty coffee in Israel. So I offered the photos for free. I think I even sent the original big photos for use.“

„Much of this is business observations, not necessarily the taste of a product. For a long time, I kept this list on my local computer to "keep it real", because I work hard to be honest with everyone I talk to about coffee - be it you, the reader of the various sites I maintain, or the industry pros I talk with on a daily basis.“

„I found them because they just started advertising on CoffeeGeek (no, I'm not mentioning them here because of that - but it is true that I have not heard of this company before they signed up as an advertising partner). I think this is going to be my new source for Fair Trade green coffee - their single pound prices okay (not great), but the five pound prices are pretty good - average of about $7 a pound or less, in Canadian dollars. Compared to US sources of green Fair Trade coffee, it's downright cheap once you factor in shipping costs.“
