„We spent most of an afternoon and early evening together, and by the time he left my house, he had the shakes. He also says I've ruined coffee for him:) Chris shares another passion(s) of mine - he's into photography and has a Leica M6 camera - ultimate in oldschool mechanics. Pretty sweet... I don't own a Leica!“

„I got a tour of Espresso Coffee Machines Co., which is affiliated with Nuova Distribution (the US company), but ECM is based in Burnaby, BC. Let me tell you, that place is an Espresso lover's dream shop, especially if you can get into the back storeroom. They have what looks like a quarter million dollars worth of antique machines, including a first gen Victoria Arduino, many of the original Nuova Simonelli machines, and many other major makers, all just sitting way up on this semi-display shelf that only the staff can see as they go about their business. I was in awe.“

CoffeeKid - Guide to Espresso Machines CoffeeKid - Guide to Espresso Machines

„This moniker is given to the machines out there sold as "espresso machines" which are in fact not true espresso machines in the modern sense of the word. They're easy to spot - they usually have a screw down top, feature a 4 cup carafe for your brew, and usually cost under $60 or so. These are electrically maintained "moka pots" in that they brew with steam pressure only (about 1.5 BAR maximum) and do not produce a modern day authentic espresso. Avoid unless your only concern is milk-based drinks.“
