CoffeeKid - August is a Coffee Month? (#)
„See, when I travel to coffee related things, it's a CoffeeGeek.com expense (and thus, a WebMotif expense, since CoffeeGeek is owned by WebMotif). When I go to trade shows and such, it's a justified expense because I get content for the website and meet with potential advertisers. But the fall meeting is pure volunteer stuff, and has no real benefit to CoffeeGeek or WebMotif.“

„CoffeeGeek.com will be using the most advanced version of my company's WIPS software to date (Version 2.3a). It includes a lot of automations and some new modules we developed just for the CoffeeGeek site. I can tell you that approximately 1500 (yep, more than 100 hours since two weeks ago) person hours (three people involved) have gone into this back-end software development, and it ain't over yet.“

„But I do have three tools that are constantly used for CoffeeKid.com (and CoffeeGeek.com) notes, updates, and just plain content. There's this notebook I am typing on right now, which is constantly used to write Word documents for the reviews, Photoshop for photoshoppin', and HomeSite for, well, homesitin'. Then there's my trusty Palm Vx and folding keyboard, upon which (part) of this rant and many other rants were written, as well as many of the notes, commentary, plans and reviews for this and the new site.“

„I found them because they just started advertising on CoffeeGeek (no, I'm not mentioning them here because of that - but it is true that I have not heard of this company before they signed up as an advertising partner). I think this is going to be my new source for Fair Trade green coffee - their single pound prices okay (not great), but the five pound prices are pretty good - average of about $7 a pound or less, in Canadian dollars. Compared to US sources of green Fair Trade coffee, it's downright cheap once you factor in shipping costs.“
