„I'm not going to make that kind of blanket statement that more than a few disliked me for in alt.coffee. I am saying that, based on about 9 months of research, testing, reading, picking brains, and theorizing and extrapolating, I decided that, for my situation, the Pasquini Livia was the best possible machine I could have in my home at this point in time. Was I right? Time will tell, and who knows, maybe in the future I may want a Rancilio Millenium single group hard wired to my espresso bar in the family rec room of the future, but for this time, today, right here, right now, I wanted the best, and I through luck, good fortune and frankly through the success I've been enjoying in my business, I have it.“

Jim from 1st Line is hooking me up and keeping me happy, and if all goes well, I'll have it to tinker with sometime early next week. I like dealing with Jim, and there's only one thing I wish was different about his company - I wish he was in Canada so I wouldn't have to pay the duties and such on this darned thing.“

„We are designing an open workspace, with almost everyone facing each other (monitors are facing away from everyone) and a conference/meeting/strategy area right in the middle of the office. The Solis Master Digital 5000 superauto is already slated for the office, but I'm also thinking about getting several Hario Nouveau vac pots, which I think my staff will like using, and my visiting clients will also enjoy. But what an expenditure. Sure glad these things can be written off.“

„I guess the first bit o' news is I finally got my Hearthware Precision back. Actually, I got a new one - a replacement for my other one which was breaking down. I also found out that Hearthware now has a new distributor in Canada who has a great price on the unit for Canadians when you buy direct from him. You may be seeing these HWP machines in The Bay soon, but don't buy it there!“

„Plus I figured that for one time (I actually never do this normally), for one time only, I could hit up some of the retailers that have benefited from my positive relationship with them.
