„ When I told her, another lady asked me about this stove-top coffee maker that her daughter had brought back from Spain.  I told them how to use the Moka pot, and the Ibrik.  They were delighted, and so was I.“

„Other than a Procter-Silex whirley blade grinder, this is the only grinder I have owned.  I got it to use primarily with a moka pot, but also use it from time to time with an automatic drip machine and a French press.  I did compare the grinds with the output of a Bunn professional grinder and with ground coffee (suitable for moka pots) from Lavazza and Illy.“

„Constantinople (now Istanbul) quickly acquired such a great thirst that Turkish law permitted a wife to divorce her husband for failing to keep the family ibrik, or pot, filled. Suing on such grounds should be easy these days. Never able to grow its own coffee, Turkey can no longer afford to import it from abroad.“

Turkish coffee is a very flavorful, and often strong, coffee. It is prepared in an ibrik, a small pot that holds either one or two servings. Traditionally, the pot was placed in the hot sands of the Mediterranean for cooking, personally, I use my gas stove.“
