„Italia looked very nice on the countertop.Good DVD, no problems until the water leak. CS was helpful, I tried descaling the Italia , though the descaling light never went on (we use RO water). This may have helped the machine but didn't stop the water leak. I know it's my fault for loosing the receipt but I hate the thought and paying $500 more to get another Italia.“

„However the machine still has a descaling programme built in. When the first descaling process came about I followed the instructions in the manual which in hindsight aren't too good. The instructions said to dissolve the cleaning tablet in the water resevoir then proceed with the prompts on screen. It didn't specify that you need a special tablet (I used the normal cleaning one because that's what it said in the manual - and the retailer hadn't explained anything to me about maintenence).“

„The rest of the supermarkets do not sell unground espresso roasts as "espresso" at all; you could find "French" roast and it would be the only one "espresso-like". The ground espresso will be something cheap, the most expensive from them being Cafe Bustelo or such.“

„(I already saved up for a good grinder -- probably the Gaggia MDF as I'm tight on budget and can't afford the Rocky that is overpriced in Europe and costs usually over 300 euro.) I was aiming for the Gaggia Evolution that is reasonably prices here, but ran into an opportunity to buy a once-only used Isomac Giada for a slightly lower price than the Gaggia Evolution. The Isomac is probably mislabeled, as the label on it says it is a Cappuccina model, but judging by the look, it definitely is the Giada.“
