CoffeeGeek - Salton Grinders - All - John Gilchrist's Review (#)
„Lets just say that I have only used my Salton 3-4 times in the year that I have owned it. For thirty bucks it's an okay deal, but I would suggest paying thirty dollars more and getting something better like a Capresso 551 Burr. I bought the grinder at an early period in my life, when I was just getting interested in home brewing.“

„A steam machine will cost you less, and is definately one of the lower types of machines on the overall chain of possibly hundreds of different models. For a good starting education on making espresso, it could be worth it. “

„Coffee-type cupcake filters for about thirty bucks but I've had more than my share of troubles with those (collapsed filters, clogged filters, whatever-else-can-go-wrong filters). I'd been pleased with the Braun and Krups coffeemakers I've owned because they use the Melitta-type No. 4 cone filter, superior in many ways. It doesn't clog, even if you grind the coffee beans to the fineness of talcum powder.“

„Bucks County contributes to an endowment fund supporting the Embera-Chami community, so far providing eight new schoolrooms, a new community center, and hundreds of school desks and chairs. Bucks County Coffee has managed to stay close to its micro-roasting roots throughout its expansion from a small roasting machine in a carriage house to one of the country's largest regional specialty coffee chains. Visit www.buckscountycoffee.com or call 800-844-8790 for more information.“

„However, one way the fair trade concept affected the submitted coffees is through encouraging small, in some cases new, roasters to specialize in them. About half of the thirty coffees submitted were roasted by smaller companies that make a particular point of offering organic and fair-trade origins.“
