CoffeeGeek - Regional: Australia, New Zealand and Asia, My thoughts on hard tamping (#)
„Offtopic- I recently had a mini caffeine tour around Brisbane with the caffeine queen herself- Anne. The best espresso that we had was at the dibella roastery and also at espresso garage (176 grey st, southbank). Fast, professional, and very clean were the girls I met who work the coffeecarts at the uni of qld. But the biggest disappointment was Vue, which is a shame since I've been there twice now and been served a decent coffee, and then a crap one and I'm hearing about how great it is.“

„We entertain a fair amount and as you probably already know; it’s simply impossible to serve espresso to a large crowd. The CoffeeTec simply shines in this regard and I often find myself brewing 3 or 4 pots and refilling the milk container. To date, four of our friends have been so enamored with our CoffeeTec that they purchased their own units.“

„I have a Brugnetti "Top" espresso machine that sometimes will not work. The button lights on the front of the machine will not light up but the "flow" button light blinks. I have check the connections in the machine to make sure there are no loose connections and otherwise everything seems to be working ok.“

„ I am sure that the lingering bitterness is merely an artifact of a bad shot, but I have learned to like my espresso short. The Indian monsooned beans from Sweet Maria's and the Malabar Gold from Coffee Project do great for me. “

„I had been using an inexpensive espresso maker for a few years. It was a pain when trying to make more than a couple latte's at a time when we had guests. The C1000 makes multiple espresso and coffee drinks a breeze...and the flavor of the coffee is wonderful! To date the coffee has been consistently smooth, without any bitterness.“

„ the hot caramel macchiato is the same except you fill the cup leaving about 2" for foam then "s" in the espresso and add caramel. unfortunately i think that this drink is a disservice to coffee drinkers everywhere as it is not a true macchiato, but instead a vanilla latte topped with caramel sauce. when people come in my cafe and ask me for a caramel macchiato, i give them a true caramel macchiato and they are generally pissed. am i bitter?“
