CoffeeGeek - Rancilio S-Series - Joe F.'s Review (#)
„I purchased the S27 which is Rancilio's smallest commercial grade automatic machine. The first time I made an espresso and cappuccino I knew my money was well spent. I can brew espresso and steam milk at the same time.“

„Almost too convenient. Just unwrap, plop in a pod-enabled espresso machine, brew, and chuck, you're done. And if you do a double for a big cappuccino, they aren't all that bad.“

„Water Reservoir: Most consumer and many prosumer espresso machines, as well as most coffee brewers feature a built in tank or container that holds water that is used by the machine to brew coffee or espresso. The water reservoir also supplies water to steaming devices on machines that include a separate steam ability.“

„First you make your coffee (not pictured), and brew your shot, double shot, double ristretto, you name it. Here about 2.5 ounces of espresso is brewed.“

„I've been drinking coffee since I was about 14 or so (24 now), but it was always a very casual experience with little appreciation for the brew (because there was little to appreciate, believe me!) My town didn't even get a Starbucks until a few years ago, so my first experience with espresso and espress-based drinks was at some of the local shops. I was around 16 when I first experienced espresso, but I wasn't intrigued; looking back with what I know now it was a really bad experience. I developed an affinity for a cappa or a latte, and that became my drink of choice for many years; it was something I took time out of my day, every day, to enjoy.“

„It does let you down in terms of being a "cappuccino machine", because of a long draw time between brewing and steaming (I do not recommend steaming first, then cycling the machine down to brew a shot - it takes almost as long, and can use half a reservoir of water in the process). But with that said, the actual steam performance of the Zaffiro was superb once the machine is heated up properly.“
