„who have a booth; Glenn is very friendly and very appreciative of all the Rancilio Silvia fans out there. Bill Hearns, the roastmaster with Timothy's Coffee is doing the cupping sessions, and Bill knows his stuff. Space is limited :)“

„What it lacks, like all home machines under $1300 or so, is separate steam boiler tank. You basically need to spend another $900 to take the next step up from the Silvia in home espresso machines, to light-commercial machines like the Pasquini Livia, Isomac, Wega, Exobar, La Marzocco, etc. So I hate to say it, but $500 for the Miss Silvia is a good deal! You can start doing decent home espresso with the Gaggia Espresso at $259, but it doesn't have this great stainless steel housing, and the level of finish of the Silvia.“

„Unfortunately, I did not get a wonderful machine. Already, only two months later, I have tired of the limitations of this machine and have ordered a Rancilio Silvia, a bit more expensive, and much more worthy, espresso machine.“

„By definition, a semi auto machine is one that can automatically pump water at required pressures through a machine; it also maintains boiler temperatures. Machines like the Rancilio Silvia, Pasquini Livia 90, and ECM Giotto are semi auto espresso machines. All are good, great machines even, but all are missing certain elements. Here's the dream semi auto espresso machine:“

„A smaller boiler means that it is quick to heat up. With the larger Rancilio Silvia, on the kitchen counter, it usually takes about 20 minutes before the beast is ready to start extracting rich shots of espresso. The Topazio is ready to roll in 10 minutes.“
