CoffeeGeek - Members: Buy, Sell and Trade, 2003 Lavazza Calendar Cover ()

„I am openly imploring anyone to help me.  I desperately want a poster sized print of the cover-image on Lavazza's 2003 Calander.  This is the Photo by Jean Baptiste Mondino if a woman sitting profile in coffee with spoons in her hair like a mohawk and with espresso cup earings.  I have been hard pressed to figure out where I can buy such a poster, but I would pay handsomely for one if I could find out where these can be obtained.“

CoffeeGeek - Krups Il Barista Grinder - Mark Atanovich's Review

„ I finally dialed into a setting of -7.  This grinder is slow compared to the Bruan, taking over 1 minute for a double at this setting, but I'd gladly trade that for elimination of static, which was a big problem with the KMM30.  Because the grind is so slow, there is a tendency for grounds to stick in the chute, but the spoon that came with the Braun was perfect for removing them.  The doser was annoying; if you use a non-adjustable one like most home machines, you find yourself removing or adding coffee to the hopper.“

CoffeeGeek - Starbucks Barista Grinder - David Marsden's Review CoffeeGeek - Starbucks Barista Grinder - David Marsden's Review

„I was looking for a good quality Conical Burr grinder and when shopping around in the UK the cheapest I could get was £60 ($114).  This was a bit more than I wanted to spend and it was the Dualit EC69.  I was then informed of the same machine by Starbucks just rebranded.  I thought for £39 ($75) that can't be bad so I bought it.“

CoffeeGeek - Cuisinart Brew Central - Ken Klaser's Review CoffeeGeek - Cuisinart Brew Central - Ken Klaser's Review

„The carafe itself has a well-designed pour spout: in a matter of about one-month of use, I haven't spilled even one drop of coffee.  This had been quite a problem at times with our previous coffeemakers, requiring frequent cleaning of the countertop and sometimes wiping of the bottom of a freshly filled cup.  Even though the carafe only has markings up to twelve cups, there is room for a couple more above that in both the carafe and water reservoir in the machine. The maximum capacity for ground coffee is 15 tablespoons, according the instruction manual; but, in my tests, explained at the end of this detailed commentary, I found that you may be able to use more than that.“

CoffeeGeek - Thermal Carafes - Rick Waits's Review CoffeeGeek - Thermal Carafes - Rick Waits's Review

„ The way to eliminate that problem is to use a pour-over filter similar to a Melitta style process.  This Zojirushi Air-pot accepts the #6 plastic filter cone (sold by Sweet Marias) that allows this process.  I was concerned that the lid on the Air-pot would be in the way when tilted back and open.  It does not interfere and allows plenty of room for the plastic filter-cone.“

Tea & Coffee 02/00 - World News Tea & Coffee 02/00 - World News

„In May, 1998, the company merged its U.S. operations - 272 Gloria Jean's Inc. outlets - with Coffee People Inc., a 45-store chain in Oregon. However, Second Cup's try at the U.S. has been less than successful; the U.S. business was lagging badly enough that Second Cup sold Coffee People this past summer.“
