„I never thought that coffee could taste that good. At that time, I was used to drinking instant coffee, cafeteria coffee, and dare I say, vending machine coffee. When I got back to the States, I decided to get an espresso maker to try to duplicate the French coffee experience. Not knowing anything, I purchased a steam espresso maker and made espresso (just strong coffee, in hind sight) for a while, making mostly milked drinks.“

„Are there any other places that sell coffe at the hospital other than the cafeteria? Any place that has coffee vending machines would be a great place to sell coffee at a kiosk because why would you buy it from a machine when you get can it "fresh" at a kiosk?“

I knew that the double boiler concept was inherently superior to single boiler or single boiler with heat exchanger machines, but I didn't like various aspects of two small double boiler machines currently on the market and I couldn't afford a LaMarzocco 1 group. So I decided to keep my eyes open for the next best thing - a single boiler heat exchanger machine intended for commercial service. I didn't want to go the Isomac route, or buy any of the other e-61 machines since they all had small boilers and rather anemic heaters by pro machine standards.“

„In my business Coffee for Connoisseurs (website ), I sell 4 domestic espresso machines: the Imat Junior, the Imat Napoletana, the Rancilio Silvia and the Solis SL90. Because I'm an "Internet Only" coffee retailer, I tend to regard machines as interesting devices for consuming coffee, rather than big ticket items with big markups. My profits on any machine sale might pay for a weeks' petrol...just.“
