CoffeeGeek - Macap M5 Dosing Espresso Grinder

CoffeeGeek - Macap M5 Dosing Espresso Grinder ()

„It's long been held (and rarely disputed) that the Mazzer Mini is the be all, end all grinder for espresso in the home. It's a full blown commercial grinder, slightly miniaturized so that it can fit into tight spots, and any serious espresso head knows that's the epitome of the perfect home espresso grinder - so much so it's overkill for most home enthusiasts.“

„Two machine setups: Machine station 1 had a single group La Marzocco Linea ($7,500) and a Mazzer Mini ($450) grinder, along with a Reg Barber professional tamper . Machine station 2 had a Francis! Francis X3 machine ($350) and a Rancilio Rocky grinder ($250) and a plastic, "stock" tamper with a crappy seam. Basically, the LM setup cost would buy you 13 Machine Station 2 setups.“

„No need to list this. I think the perfect espresso grinder already exists - it's called the Mazzer Mini.“

CoffeeGeek - Mazzer Mini - Early Impressions CoffeeGeek - Mazzer Mini - Early Impressions

„Initially I thought the clear portion of the doser chamber was glass - after taking it apart as the months went along in this review, I discovered it is high impact plastic. Even 8 months later, it shows no scratches or cloudiness or other similar marring - my Rossi RR45 grinder does not share this - the clear plastic in that grinder's doser does show aging, yellowing, scratches and stains that won't come off.“
