CoffeeGeek - La Pavoni PA Grinder - Daniel Marsalone's Review ()

CoffeeGeek - Krups Novo Series

Krups has a long standing line of machines in the Novo series. They (usually) feature thermoblock heating systems, cheaper grade parts and materials, and are usually classified as budget, starter espresso machines.“

Home Espresso FAQ Home Espresso FAQ

„    I owned a $250 Krups Novo for more than five years. My Krups was a nice little home appliance and a similar unit will probably fit your needs as a first machine. The Novo performed admirably and dependably and while I was saddened by its death I was excited about replacing it. It was succeeded by a $400 Rancilio Rialto, purchased from Barry Jarrett at Riley's Coffees (coffe@stlnet.com).“

CoffeeGeek - Chemex Drip Device - David Barnes's Review CoffeeGeek - Chemex Drip Device - David Barnes's Review

„The method my then girlfriend and I used to make coffee was different from Chemex's instructions. Chemex suggests a coarse to medium grind, but we used the espresso grind. I still use this grind today for all my filtered coffees.  We found that more of the bean is exposed if ground fine and will drip through the paper slower for more of that deep, rich coffee flavor and kick.“

CoffeeGeek - Krups Pump Machines - Other

Krups has been making a long line of consumer espresso machines for many years. Many of their models fall into the pump driven category, and usually have thermoblock heating systems. This category is for NON Novo Krups models.“

CoffeeGeek - Wega MiniNova CoffeeGeek - Wega MiniNova

„Bottom Line: The Silvia was for me a great step versus the Krups Novo. The MiniWega is a huge step in CONSISTENCY and steam power. A great machine... till now!“
