CoffeeGeek - KitchenAid Auto Drip - Other Models - John F's Review (#)
„I know it can be difficult to make good drip coffee in small batches with a machine, but the Kitchen Aid exceeded my expectations. I would buy this simple model again even if a new one came out with additional features.“

„shipping was free within US, and it came with coffee pods, 2 cups, coffee book, and video. I would recommend this machine without hesitation, I was making very good tasting expresso drinks within the first couple tries. I had never used an expresso machine so I had to learn how much milk to add, how to get lots of foam and just the basic steps to follow. I am using an expresso blend called Valos which is sold in Borders bookstores in their coffee shop, the expresso I make tastes as good as the expresso their commercial machine makes using the same coffee.“

„ I wanted something that would catch your eye as you enter the kitchen. And of course, I wanted the best espresso maker I could get. “

„ I ignored this part of the manual because when you turn the machine on to brew the coffee, the hot plate is also turned on to a lower setting. There is an optional switch that may also be turned on once the machine is brewing that heats the hot plate up to full capacity. I was originally contemplating the thermal carafe model of the Clubline but was led to this model by Cheryl at Boyd's. She mentioned that the thermal carafe with the Clubline isn't anywhere near as good as some of the thermal carafes on the market today.“

„With a HOT machine and a filter basket filled with FRESH grounds, I pull 1 1/2 to 2 ounces of THICK CREMA containing espresso in a time period of 25-30 seconds. (YES, I do use a scoop to measure 14 - 16 grams of coffee, I do use a graduated glass container for the espresso extraction when creating a cappuccino/ latte, and I do use the timer on my Timex wristwatch to time the extraction period.)“
