CoffeeGeek - Espresso: Machines and Grinders, What the heck is it? A swiss coffee device by Phillips? ()

„Everything I've seen here and read elsewhere leads me to believe that this is more of a coffee machine than an espresso machine.  That being said, Here's the Competition   by Keurig.  My Dad's got one in his office and while this homeroaster wasn't bowled over, it was FAR better than what will normally be found cooking down in office coffee pots worldwide.  Now that could in part be due to the Green Mountain Coffee that was used, I was tickled none-the-less.“

CoffeeGeek - Espresso: General Discussion, Calories/Fat content in Espresso and Cappuccino CoffeeGeek - Espresso: General Discussion, Calories/Fat content in Espresso and Cappuccino

„As Dom said, coffee has pretty much zero calories and fat.  Since the same item from different companies can differ in content, the most accurate way of determining the caloric & fat content is to look at the labels of the product you're using, so check the label on the bottle of milk you're using for your cappas.  This is a requirement (FDA?) and everything you buy at the grocery, except things like fresh produce, has it.“

CoffeeGeek - Regional: United Kingdom, Where to buy 58mm blank filter?

„Well that is what I would have thought too.  I did say that to the lady on the phone and she said that they have been told to say that they are only for Matthew Algie machines.  I suppose that it is to cover themselves if it doesn't fit someones machine.  Seeing as your friend uses one though I shall assume its fine and get one :)“

CoffeeGeek - Balance Brewers - Operation and Cup Quality CoffeeGeek - Balance Brewers - Operation and Cup Quality

„That said, these brewers produce a very fine cup of coffee when used properly. The actual "brew time" is very short due to the very nature of their design and function, but the addition of little "steam holes" in the siphon tubes aid agitation and extraction from your coffee grinds. The key factors with these brewers are that you should use a fine grind, use fresh coffee, and use quality water.“

CoffeeGeek - Hearthware Gourmet Roaster - Matthew Hodges's Review CoffeeGeek - Hearthware Gourmet Roaster - Matthew Hodges's Review

„It has been a little more than 3 months since I originally posted this rewview.  My Hearthware Gourmet did 'peter out' last week, with the noise level of the roaster getting louder and louder, and the roast times longer and longer (to the point that it would not get beyond 2nd crack).  The roaster lasted approximately 10 months.  It is still under warrenty, so I am planning on contacting Hearthware to see what they might be able to do (perhaps new parts, a new roaster, or maybe they would give me a credit towards their new roaster supposedly due sometime late 2002??).“

CoffeeGeek - Bunn Thermal Brewer - Bruno Bailey's Review CoffeeGeek - Bunn Thermal Brewer - Bruno Bailey's Review

„I bought this used on EBay for only $65.00 including shipping. Seller said it was used but it did not appear used, it still had the unopened bunn coffee filters, de-liming tool and instructions. It was as good as new at a low price.  Seller had a 45 day warranty, sadly  I have to take the seller up on offer to return for a refund less shipping.“
