CoffeeGeek - Espresso: Machines and Grinders, Kenya AA

CoffeeGeek - Espresso: Machines and Grinders, Kenya AA ()

„I would like to share a coffee recommendation. I'm not sure if Timothy's is franchised in the US or not, but they sell a dark roast Kenya AA called Kenya Noir. I've been drinking this for years in my regular drip machine and it has translated to an espresso machine wonderfully. It's a premium coffee but as we all know when it comes to good coffee price is no object.“

„The rest of the supermarkets do not sell unground espresso roasts as "espresso" at all; you could find "French" roast and it would be the only one "espresso-like". The ground espresso will be something cheap, the most expensive from them being Cafe Bustelo or such.“

CoffeeGeek - Turkish, Greek and Others - Sanatan Rai's Review CoffeeGeek - Turkish, Greek and Others - Sanatan Rai's Review

„If you want to roast your own, then go for a light roast. The final roasting is done in the Cezve, so if your roast is already too dark you are not going to get the right effect. Remember, the lighter the roast, the more acidic the coffee and the higher the caffeine content. So you should experment a bit to determine what you like best.“

„If you do, it works fine. But what if you prefer a dark roast and not the tangier, more caffeinated light roasts? Tough luck. This machine uses one category of bean only.“

„I have a Fresh roast plus 8 .If you have a decent exhaust fan in your kitchen you may get away with the FR+8. It does produce some smoke but you may also want to open a window if nearby.“
