However, the Giotto was a little cheaper, and it appeared to be a more robust (semi commercial) design – plus the group head was heated in a way that was truly impressive. I hadn’t heard of the ECM when I walked into the shop but Audie at Caffé Bianchi soon ran us through this machine and then left us to make our own decision having also unpacked and assembled the Elektra for us to look at (no pressure, a great approach these days!)“

Also the ECM Giotto (or a similar one) is less cumbersome in the house. But this time I would have the water directly connected ( with a ball valve for safety purpose).“
